This is the second attempt at creating a small general purpose core from the MicroMite, this version has an integrated regulated supply and is built ready to accept a small (DS3231) RTC module, (HC-02) BT Module and (MCP4822) DAC.
This was specifically built to work in combination with uSCADA(p) using ASCII protocol over BT.
Circuit Description and Stripboard Layout
The layout of the final design in stripboard form is shown below:
Components:
C1 = 47uf Tantalum
C2/C3/C5 = 100nf
C4 = 47uf Electrolitic
Q1 = 7805
Q2 = MCP1700-3302E
All the 0.1" strips for external connections are male with the exception to the HC-05 BT socket (see as built picture).
This iteration of the MMGPC II has no PCB links, but dose require a I2C pull up plug to be fitted if no external I2C components are used. This simple line terminator can be made by soldering two 10K resistors onto a piece of female socket header 5 pins long.
As Built
The image below shows the as build MMGPC II Board.
The I2C terminator is fitted as shown.
The BT and RTC modules are then fitted to the board as required.
A console header allows a micro bridge to be connected during development.
